He was a strong patriot during the revolution of the '48. As other people did, Luci jonined the troups of Garibaldi. He also had a gold medal because his bravery.

Persecuted by the Borbonics he had to hide him self in Malta. As soon as he was back in Italy he joined the troup of Garibaldi.
